I know not if this is true but apparently the current encumbent of La Maison Blanc has told our future King not to bother showing up due to his aversion to attacking Iraq.

Now look; I quite adore the Yanks; I've got bloody relatives there and I could argue for long periods and with not inconsiderable scholarly passion that Aaron Spelling, Leonard Goldberg & Stephen J Cannell are more fitting bards than our own Warwickshire based quillsmith of yore...

But see here, if this is the way it's gonna be then they can just eff off - we've got our own nukes and a little bit of budgetary shuffling under a rejuvanted Tory administration with a non-apologist leadership would have our Navy and Air Force spitting venom with a psychotic mixture of conventional and tactical nuclear delivery systems.

Get on the blower Dubya and apologise or the special relationship could be on the way out.

God, I can't believe I'm ranting against the USA - but this just cuts to the bone.

I didn't know PC had an aversion to attacking Iraq, but if he cares to come round here he will find himself being shunned for lots of other reasons, not the least for his predeliction for blood sports

I don't think it is true. If it were the liberally biased media in the US (not to mention George's own political opponents) would be shouting it from the rooftops over here...

PS: The only link with the Royals given any attention in the US media is the "shared lineage" that George has that goes several generations back
