Missed out by one number!

The missus got five numbers on the lottery last weekend (before Xmas) ...
ONE B@ST@RD NUMBER AWAY FROM THE BIG 'UN!
Mind you, only 680 people got 'em so we got the nice tidy sum of £1700. Nice for Christmas ... the kids think they're getting it tho!

Keep thinking 'only one more' but would have only got £62 for four numbers.
Gotta be grateful for whatever bit of sun shines on you nowadays I s'pose

The numbers the missus won with were a mix of house numbers, birthdays, wedding anniv etc - I told her to throw the buggers away and choose some more, but she said they were just as likely to come out again - which I hate to admit is true.
She's been using them about three years or so ...
Mind you, 10,000 people a week do 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

wow, 10,000 people are so stupid. Might aswell back a random horse
mathematically there is no reason why those numbers are any less Likely to come up as any others. @ over 16 million 2 1 I reckon you're mad anyway - your choice
There was a jackpot in the early days which was won by so many people that each winning ticket ONLY got £110,000!
And then there was the bloke who won as part of a syndicate but also did their numbers too himself and got two slices of the winning pie ...
... and ... the syndicate bloke who didn't put the numbers through and just pocketed the cash every week. Which worked fine until the numbers actually came up ...
