I phoned up DanDARE DZ last night to remind him to watch this superb programme. It needs to be shown on BBC2 so we can all see it.

Normally I would be able to help as we normally have our resident sat/tv expert on hand (the advantage of working for a broadcast technology company), but he isn't back in until Thursday If you can wait until then I might be able to offer some relevant advice (as opposed to applying a suitably sized mild steel weight on the end of a strong wooden stick)

"Daz said: I heard that about a certain kit car manufacturer."

Nothing wrong with kit cars - at least mines got it's engine in the right place and doesn't rely on "auto pilot" electronic aids (probably wouldn't work anyway ).
Shame you didn't get the carbon brakes then

I videowed it. Great period shots of Le Mans (in colour!) and interviews with Shelby, Salvadori, Gurney, Bob Bounderbant (sp??) and the engineers involved)

And (amazingly) something about racing WITHOUT a Stirling Moss contribution.

It would have been great if it was 2-3 hours long, and talked about the GT40s and the Shelby Mustangs as well...

Mike nice Griff. Unfortunately I can't fit in one, I've checked at a local dealers.

Electronic aids are great fun when you drive upto and past em, but unfortunately the company wouldn't let me have ceramic brakes, due to a shortage of supply delaying production of GT2s. I've since found out that I don't need em, it's more fun not braking on track!!
