Windows updates? Help?
Discussion
I'm not too sure if anyone here will be able to help me, but I thought it would be worth a shot...
Last year after doing my work placement from uni I was given an old laptop as a leaving gift. Fantastic, loads better than my old desk top and handy for uni.
The problem is, I am running XP on it (included in the build) and I am trying to download the SP1 service pack from Microsoft, just to ensure that the laptop is secure, free from bugs etc etc. The problem is I don't appear to have authentication to download.
I know the company I got it from would not be running pirated software, so I wonder if there is a way to bypass this glitch as I think it is probably something to do with the fact that the orginal company would have used 1 copy of XP for many computers etc etc.
Cheers
Phil

Try
www.cracks.am/main.html
This site gives (so I am told) authentication codes and "KeyGens" for many software releases, maybe there is something there - of course I've never tried it myself so can't vouch for how good it is.

Go to programs, accesories, system tools. Click on product activation. If your XP load has not been activated, it will do so at this time. Chances are, the software has never been activated...
