considering the race car orientated interior and looking for some metal sheeting. Anyone know where is best to buy some?

Preferably needs to be flexible enough so that it can be bent so 1 piece in footwell. Plan is to drill hole so orginal footwell grommets still accesible and bolt on mats using butterfly nut/bolt

I guess some hardware shop of some sorts? Any ideas?

Try a search on Yell.com for steel stockholders.

The thickness of material will depend on what type of metal you want to use, steel, ali, stainless, etc.

Try www.alloysales.co.uk/

We're looking to get some custom made kick plates for the 3000M from them - they look pretty good, and can make/bend things to a certain design for you.

Try a search on Yell for "metal Supermarkets" they have a few around the midlands, may well be national.

Don't know any in hampshire, sorry

but any car repair shop will need "body tin" for fabrication of repair panels, larger paint suppliers (body shop supplier) stock sheets as large as 8'x4' try Morreli group, but there's bound to be one local

If you need alluminium then it'll most likely be a more industrial supplier but you may be able to pick up off cuts

How much do you want ?

My end of year stock levels showed 16 tonnes total, between 0.7mm and 5mm in mild steel, galv, zintec, ali, st/st (verious textures, polishes, colours etc etc) mail me off line or have a little trip round the M25.

Im doing a project at the moment with sheet aluminium, its a nice metal to work with, bends easily and some great finishes. You shouldn't have too much trouble using that + it doesnt rust!
Ps Mel, dont serpose you sell clear acrylic?

If you fancy a run down the M1, I bought some from a firm in Nottingham a while back. I can dig the number out if you can't find any nearer to you.

Merlin Motorsport at Castle Coombe.

From my experience a really good company to deal with.
