Hi all,

Anyone else having trouble accessing MSN Messenger this afternoon, or is it just me? I sometimes can't access the Messenger website either (server busy), but when I do I get an All Systems Go message. Or have I been locked out for being naughty?!

No porblems here.

Perhaps your IT department is playing with their firewall (if you are at work)

Hi SGirl,
Im sure you are naughty, but I'm having the same problems too. It was the same last Thursday IIRC.
MSN is working, just not the messenger.

Oh good. Glad it's not just me and that their website status is wrong. I thought I'd said something to offend the Powers That Be!! Thought it was a bit odd, though - I use two different accounts and neither is letting me in.

Who've you been talking to, Mungo?!

Nah, mines down too - They are obviously having server problems or something. They shouldn't be though because I have been led to believe MS use IBM Netfinity's and X Series which are obviously totally reliable (Cos I sell em)

Ah. Well there you go then. Don't believe everything (anything?!) your employers tell you!!

But thanks for your input everyone. I feel much better knowing I'm not the only one!!

No - it's not the hardware: they're running on Windows

No it's not.

And now my ISP isn't allowing the "free, unmetered access" I pay shedloads of money for, either... Must be the shock of everyone suddenly going back to work, I seem to recall something similar happening last year.

Oh yes, very funny! The site is now reporting "Minor difficulties" and "We are working as quickly as possible to update the Messenger Service to resolve issues that some of our users have been experiencing with connectivity."

"Some of"??

Maybe I should just pick up the phone instead....
