I spy with my little eye, traffic plod crossing double whites when joining the M25 from the A127. He also undertook, then moved immediately to RHL, where he stuck like glue.

On the plus side, I followed him, and for the FIRST TIME EVER, no one moved into my "2 second" gap. Bliss. the safest motorway journey I have ever made.

Moral of the story? more traffic plod please, and less cameras. Everyone behaved themselves, and it was great.

Slightly O/T from the post above but:

Alternatively if you are the traffic cop in Norfolk a couple of weeks that who was following me down the A11 - DONT CUT ME UP!!!! Doing a stead 70 in lashing rain (was in the TVR too so not a good idea to go too fast!). Plod then overtakes me with badly adjusted lights and blinding me in the process....

Then realises he needs to get off at the new Police HQ turning from the A11 and cuts me right up! No thank you, sorry or anything.... forced me to slow down and then overtake him.... EXACTLY the thing that they would pull you for.... Buggers.

Cheers

Similar thing happened to my g/f before Christmas, overtook her on the dual carriagway then straight off at the slip road, right in front of her. Could have been answering a call of course but no blue lights or nowt.

Standards are visibly dropping......they are also quite aggressive in the fast lane too!! Especially when doing demo drives up the M11 with young plods in car.....

They should be leading by example, if the numpties see them doing it, it'll confirm to them that it's OK!

Suppose everyone's got to have a tea break though

had fun following a plod LDV Convoy minibus-van thingy down the M54 from chester on tuesday...

he was motoring along around 80mph and everyone is cueing up behind him waiting to overtake but no one had the balls to when he finally moved in - he was hogging the outside lane a bit...

then he dropped back to 70 and a mondeo finally plucked up the courage to pass and as soon as passed, the copper sped up to around 90, which must be pretty much full whack in a LDV.

in doing so he repassed mondeo-man and everyone stuck behind him again, obviously wanting to travel at that speed (if not quicker) but to afraid to pass a police man...

Not in a V8 LDV. Was overtaken by Bomb Disposal Squad on the A303, must have been doing a ton....

It's for reasons like this I drive round on w/ends with my digital camera all mounted up to the windscreen.

Any silly acts by the police or other drivers are captured on camera.

And what then???? Do you create "drive, camera, action" movies for ftn or something????
