Facinates me that people need to put "what" it is meant to read in their adverts for this stuff.

Surely if it was worth 6k then people would be able to work it out for itself.

Private number plates prices have never made any sense to me - how is B666 MAN worth 25k (as I saw in some advert)????

"Apparently" it reads BOSS MAN - like fcuk does it!

My favourite is currently MO02 YOU - makes me laugh and only £1700!

The plate on my BMW with my initials and year of birth cost an extra 15€ when i registered it here in Germany.

Thats the price these things should be.

A friend sent me an email the other day with an image of a BMW seen through a rear view mirror

The actual reg was X351 ARO but if you looked at it in your rear view...you got ORA1 5EX made me chuckle!

Someone over here actually managed to get 6LDV8 (or was it 6ULDV8) through transport. But when someone told the licensing branch what it meant they took it back. Or tried too. No sense of humour.
One of my favourites was a honey driving a WRX with the plates SICK'EM REX.

There used to be an old Pug 309 round Cambridge with

"B167OBY"

I don't think it was her name though...

Most likely the original plate. Wonder if they ever noticed, must have been worth more than the car.

I've got the following:

1. C4HNT (CAHNT) On my Lotus. Cost £400

2. A11 FKU (AH FU*K YOU) On my bike so the plate bolt makes the 11 looks like an H. Cost £250

3. P100 SSY (Pussy ?) Possibly now sold for £300

Childish I know but you gotta have some fun eh?

I have S80 HOT on my Chim, which could be loosely interpreted as "Sh*t Hot" or "Soo Hot", depending on mood. No idea what it's worth as it came with the car.

Best one I've seen was about 10 years ago, TOX 1C, advertised for about £5,000. Now that would have looked good on it!

There are a couple on my road that are pretty good.

On Boxter S Driven by very attractive late 20's female - PU5I FOX - For the avoidance of doubt yes she is

Also X13YEX - which is cunningly spaced as X BYE X on a VX220.

Other ones like sixspeed's UR2 SLO are amusing, but I think that they have to be either personal, or pretty special to be worth the money.

In Australia too, you can grab an initial plate for the registration fee. My godparents (Robert Stephan and Denise Bernadette Drew) had RSD 002 and DBD 017 on their cars for a very reasonable cost. You could also get pretty much what you wanted if you had the cash. At school (1985) there was a pink Lambo Countach with SEXY numberplate (well it was the 80's). That stuck in my mind.

I used to deliver/collect a Cerbera hire car: S700 HOT.
Several onlookers got some great photographs when it burst into flames in SW1.

I play around with a few of these from time to time.
i had C4 RRA on a 911 Carrera..V8 MOG went quickly.
About 10 years ago a saw a local elderly gentleman in a VX Viva with REE 80K but he had no intention of selling.

Mine is G*** PHD, brilliant eh? And it came free with the car. Apparently that was the one they got when they registered the blighter.

To be honest I'd rather spend the money elsewhere, places where it won't make me look a twat PHer's excluded obviously, especially Andy and UR02 SLO
