I'm very sorry to have to report the death of one of our members. Harrigan Walpole was killed in an accident over the weekend. It's another very sad day for our community. Keep 'em shiny side up people.
Steve Nesta (aka Luca Brazzi) and JeremyC have put a few words together:
It is with great sadness we have to let you know that Harrigan tragically died in a road traffic accident yesterday, Saturday 11th January 2003, whilst driving his beloved Chimaera. The cause of the accident is unknown at the present time, but thankfully no one else was injured.
Harrigan loved being part of the PistonHeads community and will be fondly remembered for the contributions he made. Many of you will have met him on one of the many events he so enthusiastically attended.
Our thoughts are with Heidi, who asked us to share this sad news with you. When arrangements are finalised for Harrigan's remembrance, we will pass on the details.
If you need to get in touch for any reason, please contact either Luca Brazzi (Steve Nesta) or JeremyC (Jeremy Copp) through our profiles.
Thank you.

Can I add my sympathies?
Even though I've yet to meet any pistonheader's in the flesh, I have started to grow attached to and therefore vunerable when something as tragic as this happens to one of our fellow PHer's.
Please allow me take a liberty and assume this applies to the majority of regular Ph contributors in that they will all echo this.
My thoughts are with Heidi and her family.

I just don't know what to say... I'll just recount this story for you...
As I left the hotel after BTaP I wandered across the car park looking for my TVR, that Scruff and Mel had moved by nicking my keys the night before, the first person I bumped into was Harrigan who found it hilarious that I had been stitched up, he even took a picture of me wandering round like a twat, looking for my car!! It was the last thread he started on PH. It just shows what a top guy he was.
I only met him the night before, but like so many of the people I met that night, he was like minded, funny and a great guy.
My last sight of him was laughing, smiling and waving as I drove off. What a terrible loss. RIP mate.
