By my sums someone will have done alright if they sell all the tickets, thats a tidy £40,500 for an N reg Griff 500 !!!!!!!!

Quite unbelievable, one where I live raised £18K for a 5 yr old Mk1 convertible golf.

Basically the same as the guys who sell at Gatwick/Heathrow except their cars are new www.bestofthebest.co.uk/

I guess the spot the ball bit is to get around the gambling laws...

Yep. It's been discussed before - can't be bothered to search for the thread(s) - but basically the spot the ball means there is an element of skill, so it's not down to luck, so it's not a gamble in the eyes of the law.

And yes of course they make loads of money - that is the point . But for the winner it was well worth it and with fixed odds due to a known number of tickets sold. These guys are usually very open and above board about it all.

A neighbour of my bro won one of the cars from heathrow - a brand spanking new 360 spider - nice!
Cost him a packet to insure it, but he didn't mind cos he sold his tuscan S and kept the 360.. (jammy git!)

When they rang him up, he thought it was a wind up - and tried to tell them to fcuk off!
Luckily for him they persisted...
