Seat Ibiza Cupra problem...

Hi All,

Just a question regarding body problems..

I have a 1997 Seat Ibiza Cupra which is starting to rust along the wheel wells, plus in the hatchback lid just below the rear window. Has anyone else had experience with this?

Got a 95 Toledo in the lizard fleet that is doing pretty much the same, it may be a VAG car but the quality is certainly not the same in several areas. The seatcupra net fellas are the ones to ask.

The missus's got a '98 Cupra Sport Ibby, and that's not got a spot of rust .... and the poor thing only gets washed once every blue moon too (i.e. when *I* do it)

The alloys are starting to corrode a bit, mind.

There's a Haynes manual for the Ibiza (Oct '93 to Oct '99) that covers the Cupra 8v and 16v.
