Firth of Forth Terrorist Coverup?
Discussion
After a brief mention on one news report 2 days ago things seem to have gone very quiet about the Police SWAT team shooting 2 suspected terrorists on a boat in the Firth of Forth 2 days ago.
I haven't been following the news that much due to baby commitments, but would have expected to have heard more about this - anyone else heard any more?
I suspect that a D-notice (or whatever it's called) has been slapped on the story.

Definitely - Chris Brookmyre is a great author..superbly twisted imagination.. a very easy to read but subtle & sophisticated style.. plenty of dark humour and a Scottishness that, patronising as it'll sound, I have a real soft spot for.
why are you sat here and not in the pub or whatever, Big_M?

yeah.. the readability and easy turn of phrase like Iain Banks with the twisted plots of Haissen.. have to say, I've started several of Hiassen's books, but have only finished two. Just can't stick with his style..

edited to say: or is that the easy turn of phrase and twisted plot lines of Iain Banks and the sense of irony of Carl Hiassen?? I really don't know..
The two Scottish ones are great authors.. the septic has great ideas but his nib merely scratches around on the paper..

I can also vouch that Ian Banks is a good drinker & looks after his mates

Whenever he has a book launch in Edinburgh, he always makes sure his mates (usually including Ken MacLeod) get invited to the pissup, which is paid for by the publisher I guess.
I've been lucky to have been at a few - much free drink & merriment had by all...
All round top bloke!
