Bremner, Bird and Fortune - Between Iraq and.....
Discussion
.. a hard place is being repeated at 11:05 tonight (Monday) on C4.
It got mentioned in one of the threads first time around, but I'd recommend anybody that missed it to watch this time around. Lots of historical detail and indiscriminantly takes the p155 out of us, the Americans, and everyone with any connection to the current events.
Manages to be informative, and as an added bonus - hysterically funny.
(I'd love to see Tony Bliar and George Dubya's reaction to watching it)

yup he alluded to global warming, but as we all know In all other respects I think it was a quality programe.
Still best comment I've heard on Iraq all week was Noam Chomsky on Radio 4 on Monday am. Still one of the most intelligent commentators on American FP that I've had the good fortune to hear, and to boot an outstanding figure on linguistics/computing. Shot the Radio 4 guys to bits..
Still Bremner did make me laugh, particularly the TB + AC room discussing their relationship with CB pottering the the background....

Whilst it was amusing and I agree Informative
I do get a bit depressed with the Michael Moores / bremners of this world.
Yes we did sell arms to Iraq
Yes we did arm the Taliban , train bin laden etc
BUT when a good policy goes bad you still need to act in the present ... not sit on the floor wringing your hands and saying if only we hadn't sold those stingers etc.
Maybe the past could and should have been handled differently but SO WHAT ... we have to act in the Present !!!
