Right.... Time for a new toy....
[And before you lot at the back start screaming "oh bloddy hell Joust - hoy many fcuking cars do you need" - it's NOT another car]
Every so often I go and buy a toy for myself - something between £200-£1500.
Trouble is I'm a bit "toyed" up and so looking for suggestions.
Latest toys have been
Portable SatNav system (with whole of EU maps)
DVD Player (got 2 now)
Freeview decoder (x2)
PS2 (+every game going)
Road Angel
Latest minicam
PC's/Laptops/Phones/WiFi etc. I get through work, so no go there.
I'm veering towards a professional 6Mpixel digital camera, but not convinced.
Any ideas????

DVD recorder + hard disk recorder, There are a couple around now but wait for six months and there will be plenty around for £600 - 700. I'am waiting for a decent Sony one to turn up with a good amp+speaker set and I'll be right in there.
Just as soon as I've bought the Caterham and the Triumph Speed Triple

Panasonic DVD/hard disk recorder.
No more juggling VHS tapes - best toy I've bought in a while.
But then again, I just bet you've already got a TiVO or something, haven't you...

Nope *shock horror*. But then I don't really have time to watch the TV that is on. We tried videoing things using the old tech video. After we filled 5 tapes with stuff "to watch" - we got another 5 thinking we would 'catch up'. When we got to 10 we gave up!

I lead too busy a life to watch more than about an hour of TV a day.
Keep them coming!

Trouble is "him indoors" doesn't like water, so that'll be even more time on my own!
Good suggestion though - keep em coming!

Not a toy as such, but get yourself a Tuscan Experience Day with TopCats.
You won't forget it in a hurry, I can assure you.
Boy, don't we just love spending other people's money.

If you fancy a break from the usual home entertainment, photography, electrical boys toys, I've just bought one of these
At the bottom end of your price range, but pretty wicked pressing the button first thing, hearing the beans being ground, and then getting proper fresh coffee, without having to open your eyes. On top of that, additional qualifications as a boys toy due to being a £500 expresso machine
.
Edit -> but I think my next treat will be the tuscan exerience day. Good thinking jeremyc
. Unless I can persuade someone to buy it as a gift

Mmm - always seemed to defy the laws of physics those things! Not convinced Nick would want to come out with me to fly one of those either!

Thanks anyway. Jet Ski is favourite at the moment.

Hmm. Already done FPA's (the un-restricted ones) which are equivalent, and get about 5-7 track days via corporate hospitality (mental note - drop topcats to a few of my suppliers). Best is that this year one of our suppliers is looking to purchase a "major" track lock stock and barrel (all 4 circuits) and let us loose, fully insured, in our own cars. They are also threating to get along some of the professional drivers they sponsor - so why pay when you get it for free

Buy a paraglider and training in how to fly it.. Thats what I did this time last year..
For that cash, you should get a reasonable second hand wing and most of the gdgets you'll need, plus a fair bit of the training.. Buy from a school, you will pay top dollar, but you should get a wing with a known hsitory and have training thrown in..
Do a web search, stacks of pictures around for such things or mail me for more info..
