So, what does your cat like to eat?

I ask about cats because dogs will eat anything, and anyway, I like cats-
One of my cats, Mogswilliam, has long hair which over a period of a few months becomes matted or knotted in places, especially under his chin. This would be a simple problem to deal with if he would let us comb him but he won't. He is a rescue cat so we couldn't train him as a kitten to accept combing. Anyway, every few months he has to go to the vets to be sedated and combed out.
To prolong the period between vet trips we ty to cut out the lumps with a pair of scissors but that doesn't go down too well either. About the only thing that will distract his sufficiently is to feed him prawns, as Mogswilliam will do anything for a prawn. He doesn't like the scissors though, and it's quite funny watching him trying to decide whether to eat the prawn or whip round and try to bite the person snipping his lumps off

Funny you should say that, we keep a cardboard box especially for that purpose. We cut the sides down to about three inches high, and he gets in in order to weigh the box down, then proceeds to pull chunks out the edges

yep - we've got one that's a big fan of all dairy products.. milk, cheese, butter.. and any products containing those things in any quantity.. oh and sugar too..

Naturally, they all like roast chicken, beef, salmon, tuna, prawns etc..

Chicken tikka jalfrezi (have yet to work out which particular brand of indian lager he washes it down with)
Takeaways, well he's brought in a fully grown rabit, I have no idea how he got it through the cat flap
As for an appetiser, we noticed him slinking off to the bathroom a few times, and on investigation he'd caught 4 mice (one at a time) stuck them in the bath, and he was sitting in the middle watching them run round him (guess it's a sort of cat scalextric)

Whiskas and Science Diet.
Why is it that cat food comes in flavours like Beef, Chicken, Duck or Tuna? I've yet to meet a domestic cat who catches and eats these species when left to its own devices.
Cat food should come in Garden Bird, Mouse, Frog, and Goldfish flavours.
Dog food should come in Scraps, Crap, Sick and Cat flavours.

Both my old dog and cat used to eat chocolate. Major problem for the dog being that he wouldn't unwrap it 1st so I always figured it came back in double time because of the silver foil etc..
Never noticed a problem for the cat though.. Used to like to eat it warm with cheese..

LOL Ours like Hills Science Plan cat food - they started off on Iams but won't touch anything but Hills now. That and plastic bags
Science Diet is a balanced and nutritionally complete pet food and it is recommended that you do not add any supplements. 
Our Huge fat ginger tabby kitten, Brandy, eats anything that moves....
...especially feet.
We sleep with our shoes on!

...oh and Science diet. Stuff stinks, but make cat big and strong. Tosher was nothing but skin and bone till we got it in, now he's decidedly plush.
Charlie and Brandy are just beasts. Theres no stopping either of them. They are meant eat a 10kg bag a day each...

Our neighbors tom cat was called sammy.
Sammy was a big black and white moggy with a very bad attitude to just about anything, but he was generally amenable to me, thankfully.
The one morning in high summer, sammy was sitting on his front porch watching things go by and looking for an opportunity to jump on something, when around the corner came two bull terriers.
The said mutts didnt know what hit them.
Sammy came tear-arsing off the porch at full tilt and chased both of these dogs off up the street, ive never seen anything like it.
They just ran and kept on going.
Bout 10 mins later sammy came strutting back down the road nonchalontly swaggering and takes a piss in the other neighbors flower beds.
Wish id have caught it on video, it was a real sight to see.
Oh yeah, he used to eat cheese too.

Our Maine Coon likes 'helping' prepare veg, and sits on the side catching veg peelings and taking them to his dish. Lately has also taken to attacking and hiding Mrs Tykes blusher brush. Wierd.
Oh how we will enjoy the impending killing season, him and his mate bringing home decapitated dead mice, birds etc and depositing them on the front doorstep. No cat flap now as he has been known to bring a kill in and leave it on the bed.
