Who's Insurance
Discussion
Unless your a trader generally the buyers insurance.
You might be able to arrange with your insurance company to cover people BUT do you want to risk losing your NCB etc for them. The best thing is to tell them to bring their insurance doc's if they want to drive it. That way you see that they are covered and have the details if they prang it.
You could also ask for full payment before a test drive (alot of people do this with motorbikes). So if they prang it they buy it.

Always a tricky situation. If you look at your policy it should allow you to drive other cars third party. But won't allow other people to drive your car unless they are named drivers on your policy.
If someone road testing your car has fully comp insurance they should be able to drive your car but it will only be third party.
I suppose if you know they are coming your could add them as a named driver but then you would need their details like age, NCB, etc which is a lot of hassel
In the past I have just bitten the bullet and let them drive third party as they have had comp insurance but this will leave your car unprotected in the event of an accident.

I'm fairly sure you can claim off them as you are a third party as well. Mind you it's a load of hassle as you either have to pay for repairs up front. Or wait for their insurance company to cough up.

You certainly wont be able to do this. The third party section provided will only damage done to other third party property or persons. The fact that the prospective purchasers policy is comp wont guarantee they have third party cover either. Most insurers do include it in both comp and tpf&t cover but not all and the personal circumstances or the policyholder can effect it too i.e its generally excluded for those in motor trade or those under 25.
