Right here's the story,

I'm connected to the internet through my university network which has restrictions to prevent you downloading most media (mp3,mpg,avi,ra,etc..) and also streaming which is fair enough because most of it is illegal but for some reason you can download wmv files, usually that is. I was trying to download the videos on luca brazzi's website www.sleepy-fish.com but the restrictions won't let me! It keeps saying access denied.

Can anyone of you fantastically intelligent IT folk explain it?!

I am afraid it is exactly what it says it is... you have been blocked. WMF being a video / sound format it is one type that is frequently blocked by firewalls etc. Check out the Usage Policy that you should have access to (they should make you read it before letting you loose on the computers). If it makes direct reference to blocking some stuff you are knackered. If not then request access, you never know it might work.

But normally the IE or Netscape that you are using wont NOT download the file. It is something in between that is blocking you... Sorry cant be more helpful

You could e-mail Luca Brazzi through his profile and see if he'll be nice enough to change the extension on that file and post a new link to it.

Or you could ask me nicely, and I'll post you proper quality CDs or DVD...up to you.

I'll change the file extension if you wish, but the quality really is crap, and that's my biased opinion.
