Been a bit worried about my consumption levels recently. Currently on about 10 cups a day while at work, less at weekends.

I used to be on about eight a day.

I have now restricted this to about four - and all in the morning. The plan is two before going to work. One mid-morning, one sometime in the day (should be before noon). In the afternoon its supposed to be water but I usually give in and have weak tea.

It's the only thing we get for free in my office - well apart from headaches, so it's easy to get up to three or four an hour!

God, when I used to smoke I never hit that many!!!!

Personally I find operating a computer and drinking coffee to be synonymous. The former certaintly doesnt work without the latter...

Its not so much a case of how many, its more a continuous process - chain coffee drinking which at the computer...

About the same here.

Can of Red Bull in the morning, perhaps 10 cappuchinos through the day, couple of cans of red bull in the evening.

Unless of course Im having a really bad morning where a four pack of red bull isnt unusual before lunch.

Never actually looked at it like this before, I think I may need to try and cut down a bit - Im totally non-functional before lunchtime without a caffeine infusion.

Agreed - Smoking too... for some reason.. computers, coffee and cigarettes..

I know there are a lot more non-smokers now, but IT is still something of an enclave of smokers compared to some sectors..

Nonetheless, as Podie righly points out, there's nowt like a decent brew..

I was falling into the trap of getting caught in 'rounds' of coffee in the office & ended up having 8-10 per day.

Was ill a few months before Christmas & couldn't face coffee When I recovered, I made the decision not to re-start drinking it at work. Definately fewer headaches after a long stint in front of the screen now!

Had to give up when I realised that I couldn't get the spoon out any more. Making it strong enough and thick enough to surface the M4.:mmmmmmstovetopexpressomakers:

Definitely. As anyone with a heavy online gaming habit will know, you need these to keep you going in the wee hours of the morning.

L33t Sk1llz? Nah just enough caffiene to kill a horse.

They even make caffeinated soap now...

About 6 mugs of strong black coffee a day, along with tea and diet coke.
