All that writing on the Nurburgring; can anyone explain?

Often when I see videos of the NS I spot various different types of graffiti on the curcuit black top. Anyone know how or why it gets there? Is it put there by development drivers who use the track at times?

A bit of an inane issue I know, but a perplexing one nonetheless.

Pi$$ed up mullet haired krauts with spray cans.

Except for Ave it hill, that was sprayed by pi$$ed up Vw & Seat brits- sans mullets

Same as all the writing on the road (especially hill climbs) in the Tour De France. Those craaazy fans

It's a pity they can't re-paint some of the faded turn-in and apex paint. On quite a few of the corners they're no longer visible and they're a real boon.
