Can anyone give me any news on the state of any of the following (loads of) roads?

j16 m6, m42, m40, a34(newbury bypass), m3 to m27, a31(across new forest)
or
j16 m6, m5 & roads from bristol - dorset

I have to drive from stoke on trent(grim north) to Dorrrrrrrzet(beautiful south) this evening, can't get hold of any good traffic reports & don't want to be stuck in any big snow drifts or jams all night

Cheers

If you've got an O2 or Vodaphone mobile I've found their traffic lines to be quite good.. Thats 1200 for O2 and erm.. forgot the other.. Ought to be information on the web..

I am based in sunny Ringwood (Hampshire/Dorset Border) and we haven't had any snow. Crisp bright day at present.

Contrary to popular belief, the whole country isn't snowed under, just the south east. All the news studios are in the south east though.
Birmingham and southwards thereof is snowfree, and bathed in sunshine were it not nighttime.

Now then, big treacle...........grim north is it?

If you spend a bit more time up there in the centre of the universe, you won't need a nancy boy attitude towards a bit of snow.
