Whyowhy is it still on TV?

Its the same old format after all these years, ie someone gets pushed down a hill on a pram/sled/bath/bike/skis etc and ends up getting wet/injured/covered in poo/tangled up in oversized underwear etc etc.

Same jokes, same bad acting, dull, very dull. I cannot believe that the BBC put in on prime time TV, there must be something better.

God, even Antiques Roadshow is more entertaining!

Would any PHers care to admit they watch it, and indeed find it amusing?

Sounds like you know a lot about it. Which means you must watch it... It's because of people like you that it's still on!

I didn't even know it was still being broadcast, I thought they all died years ago?

You need to get out more.

Why not have a walk in the Yorkshire Dales, take a few mates and feel free to have a play with any junk you finding lying by the road, especially old baths anything with wheels......................

You ought to try living in Holmfirth where it is filmed. A regular supply of aged ****wits are bussed in daily to come and look at delights like Compo's chippy, and ride round in a farm cart pulled by an ashmatic horse that would have been converted to glue years ago, if it were not for its new found employment.

Parking horrendous, zimmer frames and walking stick bedecked gerries reduce the pace of walking to that of an ashmatic snail.

Glad I moved.

Why do they still, year after year, roll out "Only fools and horses"? It is definitely in the same category as LOSW, and, and, and... oh sod it I can't be bothered ranting. Just get rid of the wide boy shit, BBC.

We went around Holmfirth last year, parking no problem, enjoyed the cake & coffee in the old Sids coffee shop etc. Nice break on the long journey home. Only traffic was Tyke going the otherway.
Rarely watch LOTSW anymore but agree about OFAH although the Christmas one was OK.
Actually see similarities between th LOTSW crew and me and me mates which is SERIOUSLY worrying!!

Last of the Summer Wine is shoved out on the TV every time we are about to go to war. It is supposed to remind us about everything that makes us British. They did this before the Gulf War, before the Falklands War, before Suez, before the Boer War ...
