Pistonheads, the album
Discussion
(This in no way utilises the PH (tm) branding, and is purely hyperthe, er hypofe... made up)
I was watching early morning TV today, and yet another Eighties rehash was being advertised, this time trying to trade on the franchise of "Fiends Reunited" (names changed to protect the guilty). They were bleating on about the joys of school discos, etc, and all those tracks to bring back memories of people you hated at the time, and probably would not want to talk to now, even if you were sober. It got me thinking, if we were, by the grace of Ted, to be allowed to produce a nice 2 CD set, the best PH album in the world, what would we put on it. I was thinking of a nice 2 cd set about 20 tracks per disk, the first one for cruising music, and the second more of a thrash to accompany an exciting and challenging bit of road, what would we put on it.
The only condition, we must NOT have a Queen track for Track 1, Side 1, simply becuase every other cd compilation in the world seems to have this (except one of the Top Gear ones).
How about starting with Otis Redding and Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. One that always reminds me of cruising along 101 south out of San Francisco.
