The sad thing about it Carzee, is that it will not affect her 'one Ioata'. As you stated, a Govt limo will be supplied for the week with driver (of course) an £400 fine from the joint family income will be insignificant in the least. Probably less than a weeks grocery shopping at Harrods.

Where on earth did you get the idea that she is a Police boss. Far from it! but she does have a lot of say in legal issues that affect the Police and the legal system in general. Blunket has more say in what the Police do than Harman.

Nice as it is to see someone in power actually feel some force of the law even if in a limp wristed way(rather than get let off a la beckham / straw etc etc etc), a ban for 99 seems a shame in a general context.

Me thinks that this is just more propaganda for the speed kills people, bans for doing less than 100 on the M4 will probably now become de rigeur and in the end Ms Harmann won't suffer, neither will the government, just us.....
