It's not your lights that have trouble getting up, really is it..?
Edited to say - ah the good old days...a thread slowly degenerating into smut...

Almost related and nearly on topic.
But when I was in my local motor factors yesterday the w@nkers window caught my eye on the way out, as blue flashing lights do tend to get your attention. They were selling for £16 blue strobe lights that can be fitted into clear lensed indicators in exactly the same way that some patrol cars have them, along with high intensity dash mounted blue strobes that plug into the ciggie lighter.
Now is it just me or is this particulary concerning as any scroat can now easily impersonate an un marked car and pull people over. I'm now certainly of the opinion that if I'm not sure of the legitamsy of a pull I'm not stopping. I'll drive to nearest plod station and sort it out there and have said to both my mum and wife that unless its a fully marked jam sandwich (or is that dayglo battenburg now days) they should do the same.
Quick question though to MC would that count as a "failure to stop" offence ??

That is perfectly legal, my dad used to say he wouldn't even stop for a marked car when he was carrying stock (a lot of diamond jewellery). And his company used to tell their reps not to stop, but go directly to a police station as policy

I do not know if it is legal but I do know Securicor vans will not stop, one hit my dad a few years ago and carried on. Secoricor driver later admitted the incident although he did not go to the police station to report it, he just carried on with his pickups as if nothing had happened. If my dad had given chase then I suspect he would have headed towards a police station?
Finally getting to the point, the securicor PR man stated that all drivers were under instruction not to stop but to report the accident later.
