Is a question that people should be asking themselves, due to certain religious fanatics insistance on trying to rule the world.
So, just how prepped up are you, in case of chemical/biological attack?
Speaking purely for myself, at the moment, im stockpiling water. That would be a likely target for a terrorist attack. Poisoning the water supply would be a very easy task for even an incompetent, hence my logic, flawed or otherwise.
Im also storing dehydrated/vacuum packed "k" rations, as these will keep for donkeys, and dont taste too bad either.
If something should happen at least id be half ready.
Im even considering an nbc suit and a new mask(nuts am i?) because at the end of the day, we dont know when and where these loons might strike.
So, enough about my lunacy, how bout yours? Do you think theres even any need for this kind of action?

If I still lived in London, I'd give it some thought. As it is, I'm probably a bit too provincial to be on Osama's primary target list.
Of course if there were any kind of attack in the UK, I'd be straight down the army surplus store along with everyone else.

I watched on the news last night that Americans are stocking up on water same as you but also plastic sheeting and tank tape (thick tape) to repair windows.
Im not taking any precautions being out in the sticks if you can call Orpington that but in my office in London we have bomb skinned windows, basically makes them like laminate so they dont shatter in a bomb blast. They were put up following the bombings in London a few year ago.

Not done it, but here is my 6 month plan.
Install a generator under my house, and solar panels on the roof to provide heat and power.
Stockpile water in the roof, huge area up there not doing anything, shove some water in there and bingo.
British Forces RATPACKS or any form of Dehydrated food available from the larger supermarkets (Tesco do a good range) army surplus (although they are surplus for a reason
) and outdoor stores such as Blacks/Millets and AS Adventure.
Duck Tape, available from any hardware shop. PVC/Perspex sheeting, may need to go to a specialist place. This is used to seal the windows, not only incase they break but all windows allow in a small amount of air, and if you have uPVC in your living room and kitchen and have gas appliances you will have vents somewhere in the window.
And plenty of Army Gerry Cans with fuel, cos it has to run out sometime.
Plenty of clean clothes, washing machines use lots of water, and you don't want to use your stockpile to wash your underwear.
Think that covers just about everything!

You cannot fight with these people when they are prepared to die for their cause.And there's no point any army jocks getting gung ho and telling us how they are gonna takem all out, because faced with a sucide bomber they really cant do f##k all.
The only way to beat these people is not to give them a reason to hate us.

IMHO we are not doing enough. The government will claim they dont want to scare the general public but the risk is staring us in the face. It will only be a matter of time before one of these bastards get through the net and gets away with something.
Our problem is that we cant guess. Who, before sept 11 would have imagined 2 planes being flown into two of the worlds tallest buildings? Not me for sure.

Three big problems with storing water up there, 1) itll bring the roof in.
2) Itll cause the water to ferment cos of the constant heating and cooling(lofts get VERY hot in the daytime).
3)er there is no three...
Water if your gonna store it for any length of time, should be put in a cool dark place so that sunlight cant get to it (causes algae formation) and should have a sterilising tab dropped in before sealing it.
Tins should be turned over occasionaly(once a week or similar) to prevent the contents from settling.

If you read a little history, and did some research you will realise, "they" never did hate us. The UK was never a target before Afghanistan. We did not have a single Al-Qaeeda sponsored incident at that time. This is because :
We never actively supported Isreal.
The US have and always will.
Now we are supporting the US and indirectly Isreal
