OK, after a bit of the old patented PH advice on a couple of topics.

Tyres
I took one of my original steel wheels for the TransAm to have the tyre refitted as it was leaking air out around the rim. They ended up putting an inner-tube in because the rim is, shall we say, a little less than perfect. Question: is there any difference in performance between inner-tubed tyres and standard tubeless radials?

O/T - the tyre dude "warned" me that the tyre is "only" rated for 129mph...

Interior Vinyl
The interior of the TA is nasty pale blue vinyl. I have a number of options: (1) rip out the interior any get a new one ($$$$$$$ cerching!) (2) cover it with new vinyl (wrinkly as my Gran) or (3) paint it.

So, anyone know where to get paint suitable for use on vinyl / plastics???

Frost do a spray on re-colourer,have a look at www.frost.co.uk then search for Interior Coat.
As for the tyres, my Mustang had tubes as the 275's on the back were too expensive to replace after punctures, I had no problems. Oh and BTW, that was extremely scary at anything like 129mph!

Another alternative is Vinylkote - a bit pricey but very effective. I've used it succesfully on interior trim to go from tan to black. It bonds itself to the vinyl so it won't peel off.
