Sony Video Camera
Discussion
I'm in search of some advice please,
I have a Sony HandyCam (SONY DCR-PC110E) but cant seem to get it to take a decent still picture, They look great on the screen on the camera but crap once downloaded to the PC (I've tried the firewire and USB methods). The camera is supposed to be Broadcast quality, I presume this would include the ability to produce a high resolution (megapixel image quality) digital "still" picture??
I would appreciate any and all advice !!!
Thanks

The CCD is *just* megapixel. The spec says 1152 x 864 for stills, which is not great. My Sony (cheap digital 8) takes very poor stills, but then the ccd is not as good.
It may also be that if the light is bad, with no flash (unless it has one) you are getting 'camera shake'.
Check the manual, and maybe try www.dvdoctor.com and ask them.
