On the M20 this morning, heading coastbound at about 9:30 AM.

You were speeding.

I was doing 70, and you overtook me, doing about 85mph or so.

It was a clear, sunny (but cold) day and the road was fairly quiet. Normally, I would not condone such driving.

But you clearly do.

Your Mantra is "SPEED KILLS", displayed proudly on the back window. Yet you were speeding.

I think that INAPPROPRIATE SPEED KILLS and would proudly display this on my rear window

So, you think that SPEED KILLS, yet you yourself SPEED. This can only mean two things

1. You wanted to kill Yourself OR
2. You wanted to Kill me

If we look at point 1 first, its a very inconsiderate thing to do: the amount of traffic congestion this would cause (plus raised blood pressure plus more pollution) is just plain mean. There are better ways to kill yourself (I wont list them here, but one involves Xenia Onatopp's thights). And you might take someone else with you. Which leads me onto point 2:

You were trying to Kill me. Now I don't like this. I enjoy life. I enjoy my family and friends, I enjoy good driving, I enjoy my job.

I RESENT YOU TRYING TO KILL ME

Next time I will have a passenger and a video recorder, who will record you saying "SPEED KILLS" and speeding at the same time.

Then I will find some smart-arse Lawyer (American, probably) who will sue your ARSE off. At least so i can afford a 993 Carrera, if not the 996 Turbo and V8 Vantage I have always promised myself.

Edited to say: P.S. I'm not joking...

Get over it, you tell me how many people don't travel at 85mph on motorways these days. I gather that even the police turn a blind eye at these speeds. Now if he had been doing 140mph then different story. I just hope you were joking, otherwise quite sad.

This just goes to show what morons we are dealing with! He/she bvioulsy believed in the "speed kills" slogan so much that they felt the need to stick a bloody sticker in the car window yet probably has no idea (or belief in) what they are actually preaching.

Unless of coarse it was someone just taking the pi$$, if it was it is actually quite funny

I was following an old codger in a toyota corolla with a "speed kills" sticker near warminster ,just had to overtake him so he could have a good look at the piston heads sticker in the rear of the van looked in my mirror at him at some traffic lights and could see him pointing at the sticker shaking his head and mumbling somthing to his tart in the passenger seat

I wouldn't go as far as that. All it proves is that he's an ignorant hypocrite. All you now need to do is find out which political party he's a member of - if it had been John Prescott or Alistair Darling I would have phoned the press...

Just put it in your rear window.

Followed by a sticker saying "... my arse".

"Speed kills - so smoke dope instead"

"Speed kills - No, it doesn't, it's hitting a stationary object that does the damage"

"Speed kills - so why do hearses go so slowly?"

Sorry, a bit weak, but I'm trying!!

Or something more subtle like

"Driving like a W*NKER kills"
"Using your mobile whilst driving kills"
"Not concentrating on driving kills"
"Telling the kids off whilst driving kills"
"Shaving/applying makeup whilst driving kills"
"Stop reading this and WATCH THE ROAD A*SHOLE"
"Tailgating kills"

etc etc

Bloody hell Will, reread your post and try and imagine how it sounds to the rest of us!

You witter on about this Alfa driver trying to kill you when he's only doing 85mph! That's average speed for most motorways! It's also probably the minimum speed that most people on this website do on clear motorways!

As as for the sticker that's really wound you up then how do you know that the driver put it there? How do you know if the driver actually owned the Alfa!

Relax. Or if you feel your life is in danger then stick clear of the motorways! Is it you that causes congestion forcing HGVs to overtake you?

Cheers.... Andrew

One of the things I love best about public forums is the reaction of people who really don't get other people's sense of humour. The replies are sometimes funnier than the original.
