Oh No - Here we go again

Don't know whether it is the time of year or Mungo has spurred me on 
but I am getting itchy feet job wise. I have only been with my current firm 18 months but they are starting to pee me off.
Firstly they withdrew my company parking space after 6 months (this is common with all new staff - they never put it in writing).
Secondly they sent round a snotty email to everyone in the office saying that you would have to take a day's holiday for being unable to get in because of the snow.
Thirdly I have had back pain for the last 2 months because my workstation is not set up correctly and they are not being very co-operative about putting things right - e.g. my desk is 60 mm higher than standard.
Finally I have to take yet another day’s holiday to attend a funeral - I recently lost my Great Aunt and a Friend. My other half was granted compassionate leave and it was MY aunt.
Problem is that I find it all too easy to find a new job. I rarely stick a job more than 3 years and my CV is looking embarrassingly long - 13 different jobs in 26 years of employment.
So am I being too fussy about my current employers and how many jobs have other PHers had in their working lives?

I'm only a baby with an embarrassingly short CV, so I'll only comment on the snow thing as the other stuff hasn't effected/affected* me yet...
The edict sent down from HR for Cambs Local govenment was that "any that could have reasonabley made it to the office, should have", and to that end if the did not, they would have to forego a day's paid leave. Those that could not reasonable make it to work, would be granted a full day's pay, as they were absent for reasons beyond their control.
The punchline was, their definition of "any that could have reasonabley made it to the office" was
"...anyone living with ten minutes' walk of the office."
As I was one of only three that had turned to find this out, I am now confused as I traveled 15miles by car then another 4 by bike and got in early that day....
...do they owe me a day's leave?
I'm out'a there as soon as I can.

Do you feel you owe them any gratitude (ie. do they pay you spectacularly well, do they give you loads of benefits etc.)?
If not, then why take their crap? Tell you're boss why you're p!ssed off with them and that, even though you don't want to leave (they always like that bit) you will be forced to as the little everyday things that THEY COULD CHANGE EASILY are beginning to get you down.

Personally, some of my most gratifying moments have been pompous resignations...

"You could relocate the company to Basingstoke or give me a company helicopter."
Sod 'em, Debs.. if they want to treat people like crap, let 'em do it to some other sucker.. ain't worth fighting them if you can just move on. 'specially now you got your new qualifications (did you get them yet?)

How can anyone expect to create a feeling of mutual respect when they're trying to pull crap like that.

Thanks Guys and Gals - just wanted to check that I wasn't being unreasonable. I do worry about having so many jobs on my CV tho'.
Edited to say - I am in Marketing so have a wide range of options open to me.

At the start of my (post graduate) working life, I had 6 jobs in as many years. Mostly left for small things, and a general unreasonableness on employers part, getting to me, a bit like you. Never had a problem finding new positions, and have since become 'self employed'.
13 jobs in 26 years will be no problem. Also most (potential new) employers will understand your reasons for leaving (if they ask).
Just do it.... (as the advert says) and good luck.

Eeeeee when I were a lad, we used to have to pay to go to work, do a 26 hour shift, get home 1/2 an hour before we left and be forced to eat a cup of hot gravel before being beaten to death by us father every night.....

Debs, 10 jobs in 26 years, the last is Freelancing so is more than one really.
Nowadays frequent job changes are the rule rather than the exception, jobs for life no longer exist. If you are not happy change jobs. As long as you do not resign before you get a new job you have no problem, so the number of past jobs will not be a problem at all (I think I understand my logic, I hope you do).

Have to look up the regs, but I think your manager is personally responsible for sorting this out if you have to use a PC for work.. Providing you have informed them in writing, there is money to be made in lawsuits on this sort of thing. Ordinarily I'd not condone this, but firstly too many people pay lip service to health and safety stuff like this and secondly they sound like a bunch that deserve it.
Do a web search for Display Screen Equipment Regulations and it ought to tell you what you need to do. Failing that, mail me offline and I'll see that I can locate..

I agree! My best resignation stated that I was resigning due to 'Illness & Fatigue'... My boss said that he had no I idea I was ill, then I told him I was 'sick & tired' of working there and left...
