Can anyone recomend anywhere that I can get a reasonably large amount (20Mb upwards) of webspace for free? I currently have a 5u account, but would prefer being able to FTP files to and from it, and want to be able to externally link to photos in it. Not to bothered about adverts, but preferably minimal

Try www.portland.co.uk - they do a free 15Mb deal that I used to use before I moved to a paid option with SmartChoice Internet.

100Mb/month bandwidth limit might be a bit low... like the lack of adverts though

I think Free webspace is a thing of the past. I get 30MBs with BT Openworld free (Broadband package), does your ISP not offer you any free space.

I've got the bulk of www.priddy.inuk.com hosted up there (much bigger and more comples site than it looks, see last years event!).

20Mb, FTP access and no advertising.
Where they get you is that you can only FTP via the Waitrose dial-up (usual local call rates apply).

I'm getting downloads from my website of more than 600Mb per day. Most was 1.4Gb in 5 hours. hehe

So its worth considering what's gonna be on your website when deciding who to go with.
