Is a Sun Java programmer cert worth anything?

Depends on how much experience you have. I've been doing java for 5-6 years andhave never needed it but then again I have seen ads requiring it which I haven't been able to apply for. I don't think it's very difficult, not too expensive and you can do it reasonably locally as there are test centres all over the place.

I'm just training myself in C# and as I've got no commercial experience I will be doing the certification exams.
