I have had a few run ins with French people, so I have a mistrust. I have however decided to give the country one more go.

I am seriously thinking of abandoning England and going off to live in the Dordogne - cash in, clear mortage, buy large house with gites, swimming pool etc live off rental, work very little.

Sounds ideal, but can my mistrust in the French be overcome?

I hope my run ins with French people have been because of badly placed holidays - South of France and Paris so has anyone any opinions of the folk of the Dor?

I'll be testing the water first of course - holiday there to see the lay of the land and to check if its true that 10% of the population are English.

BTW, is there anywhere to get the Cerb serviced in France other than bribing Joolz with free holidays?

1) What you've got seems like a sensible plan nowadays. I actually like what you in Europe are doing; stands as a terrific and honest contrast to what President Xenophobia is doing.
2) All depends on what sort of holiday you'd be sending Joolz on! In all seriousness, they sell TVRs there, right, so don't they service them? TVR's reliability has improved over the past few years but I can't imagine that the dealers are discontinuing parts and service (like Honda is over here!).
