I wish people would stop saying things like "Soon be Friday".
Why, FFS? The sooner Friday comes around, the sooner Monday follows it: anybody else noticed this?

OK, I'm just brassed off 'cos I didn't win the lotto, and have to go to bloody Ireland for a week.

No, I tell a lie. I'm not bothered that much about Ireland: it's the week I have to do in Saudi right after it that I'd rather not, thanks all the same boss.

It REALLY is time I found a new job...

NB no replies strictly necessary: I won't be around to read 'em...

Just an idea Wedg1e, now you might like this, its one of those "odd" ones but it could get rid of the Monday morning blues for you!
I propose to rename every day except weekends to Friday.
That way itd always be a perpetual weekend, or "thank fluck its Friday" kinda feeling.
What say you O wise one?

Nevermind - it will soon be wednesday. You'll have another chance to win the lottery.

I did find a new job and I handed in my notice to my present employer this morning so I'm feeling quite stress free and happy today !

Nope.

I'm going round with a goofy-smiley feeling this very Monday too.

Best cure for the Monday blues is a damn good weekend before.

It must be nealy spring again.

Now if only she'd text back...

Well I have had a bit of a shitty time at the moment. Failed my exam and my Uncle died on Friday making that the third death in the last 4 weeks. Which is eating into my holiday entitlement at a rapid rate. We are going for the Four Funerals and a Wedding this year.

Anyone know how much a burial at sea will cost?

I've got a mirror dinghy in the garage. You can borrow her for nothing but she only berths three, four at push though. :sardines:

Cheers Mouse - not very good with boats but we are going to France at the end of the month - if we have him cremated we can scatter his ashes off the ferry.

I'd second that one. I'm counting wednesdays to get this bloody plaster off my leg.
10.00am Wednesday 12th March.
That means 8 day 18 hrs and 50 minutes.
