Scams to rob your homes.

I have received from a reliable source that there are thieves targetting women at work. They are calling from an official company (Post Office etc) and saying they need to confirm your post code. When this is given they say you have won some vouchers and ask you to confirm your address. Apparently 90% of women who have responded have had their homes burgled while they are at work.

Also another one where BT calls you and asks you to do a line check by dialing 90 and then press the hash key, this gives them total access to your line alledgedly.
Don't know how real they are but its always best to be prepared.

FYI.
BT can check your line without you dialling anything. So any request to dial a number, you can refuse?

Edited: Having said that, it is certainly wise never to give out personal details and it is certainly not implausible that it could happen. So I'll give you that much.
