I thought you guys might like to see this. This is a photo after an attempt to pop a 'wheelie' in the vette.

These are 'Big Block' 3" halfshafts, now to be replaced by some heavy wall ones from the States, which will (Ahem!) allow me tio find the next weak spot in the drive train!

Nah, The twisting had the effect of screwing the rear wheel hard in against the chassis and having and LSD it effectivly locked the whole back end. It took a bit of a struggle with an AA flatbed to get it back to the house.

Crikey! How the hell did you do that? I'd have thought the clutch or tyres would always slip before that would happen!

430hp and 425 ft/lbs torque right?

It's a lot (from a 350) but not awesome . . . . This looks like a power trophy on the wall!

Very impressive.

Its fairly classic stuff really
Old car(albeit rebuilt) + 425ft/lbs torque + 275x40x18 modern rubber (P Zero's) = Photo above.

Good work thumbup

I thought the tyres looked a bit modern in yor profile pic, they must be to blame primarily for having too much grip, no? Beautiful 'vette otherwise might I add!

Yes thats the numbers, had to keep it very 'streetable'. Definitely a garage wall trophy!

Not too much grip, just too much enthusiasm with the right foot! The tyres (amongst other things) have improved the handling dramatically, but there is more to come.
