I got a text message this morning informing me that smoking cannabis has the same carcinogenic effects as cigarettes. Did anyone else get one of these ? I don't think I'm the target audience. Perhaps I was meant to get one telling me "to much red wine makes you fall asleep"- far more age-appropriate !

No i didn't but it is true........considering a joint is made with a fcuking cigarette anyway.

It depends what/how much tobacco you mix it with.

It is the cyanates and other 'flavouring' chemicals that cause the cancer, the nicotene is just a drug.

Pure weed should be fine!

Heard a radio show mention it this morning, I think thay said they were targeting 18-24 year olds.

Knew a bloke once who did. Got a Psychosis and went bonkers..poor bugger. After that I realised that weed was NOT totally harmless as its aficiandos try to point out. Still - alcohol in the same quantity would be devastating too so I've nothing against it.

All things in moderation...


Jon - my wife complaines bitterly that the sleeping potion Chateuneuf du Pape I keep giving her means that she misses the evening's TV. Me - I call it the magic sofa. Hit it after a meal with a glass in your hand and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
