Noel Edmonds plans TV comeback

Noel Edmonds is planning a TV comeback with a talent show where contestants perform at home.

The presenter has been off screen since Noel's House Party ended in 1999.

But he said his interest in a TV return had been sparked by his disgust at what he called "cruel" reality shows.

He told The Sun: "I fell out of love with TV after 30 years. But I have been having one or two urges to come back.

"I've got a video conferencing business and the technology means video is now so cheap and available, the logical thing is to develop a format where the public can perform in their own homes.

"The vast majority of people would never go to a TV studio to do an entertainment show.

"So why not let them do their act at home or in the kitchen or on the stairs?"

Why oh why does he want to come back, I thought we'd seen the last of him.

Noel's House Party - dreadful show. One of the few TV programmes you could go on and actually end up dead.
As a TV presenter he was ideally suited to radio.

Trouble is the short@rse that he is (about 5ft with heels i think) he'll headbutt you in the privates!

Why don't some of these peopel p1ss off and give achance for new talent to entertain us - although saying that new talent is a bit of a misnomer when it comes to TV these days.

All back to Dingley Dell via Crinkley Areshole or wherever it was. Plus Mr Blobby! And dont forget this bearded twat gave us Keith Chegwin and Mike Smith.

This is just the sort of crappo rubbish that Dyke likes - it's cheap to make and it diverts attention from what a w*nker he is and what a pathetic PC brown nosing labour loving luvvie pile of kak the BBC has become. IMHO of course.

the lot of them. Its the only language they understand. Or do you think I'm being a bit harsh.

Don't be so cruel to the poor bloke.

After all, who else is going to keep the crap-jumper business going in the UK if Noel's not around?

I'm still blaming MCSS for bringing us a young Zoe Ball... maybe if she hadn't made that appearance we wouldn't have to put up with the minger...er...I mean aesthetically challenged bint and all her carryings on now. Her dad was alright though.

F**kin' elephant murderer!
He had a poor hefelump put down when they closed his sh*t Blobby theme park cos nobody went (allegedly).
They should fill him up with muscle relaxant until his heart slowly stops beating, IMHO.

Don't knock him, he is a car nut. Having a real GT40 and being an ex top gear presenter and also doing that LeMans thing a couple of years ago (with Panoz I think).

Fair point the house party was utter drivel but what are you doing staying in watching telly on Saturday night? If you are youg you should be on the piss, if you are older you should be getting ready to go and eat before getting pissed.

If like us you are somewhere in between with a young child then you are drinking heavily whilst waiting to get chance to scoff your scran before crahsing in front of the TV to watch a DVD.

Mr Blobby was the best bit of Noel's house party!!!

I can't believe some guy got paid (probably mega bucks as well) to run around, fall over, and shout blobby blobby blobby, I obviously missed my real calling!!
I could easily do that and I wouldn't even need a suit (although I would need some stick on yellow spots and a sh@t load of pink paint)!!

The first HMV shop I worked at was due to get Mr Blobby to open it for us but he was cancelled after wrecking a new store a few days before getting to ours. Apparently noone realised part of his act was running around like a nutter and falling into stuff. I'm told he took out half the chart wall...
