Was just wondering if you could point me in the direction of a good place to pick up guitar tabs?

I currently use www.tabcrawler.com but I'm really after the tab for Turin Brakes - Painkiller which tabcrawler doesn't have.

Thanks in advance

Graham

Edited to add: For Lead/Rhythm Guitar NOT Bass.

I usually either go to www.olga.net or just do a search in google. However in this case they came up with nothing. I suppose it is quite a new song so no one has bothered to tab it yet.

Have a go yourself, I bet it is pretty simple.

Hey Graham,

www.mysongbook.com

Just had a look, no song there mate.

It's worth checking out. You download a program so it places the tabs into time signatures etc, instead of just:

--5--4--3
--4--3--2
etc

Try it out and good luck finding the song.

Will do!!

Tabcrawler are normally sh!t hot at getting new tabs up, I'm really suprised this isn't up already.

I also very much doubt it's in standard tune too. Never make it easy for us.

Cheers everyone, I'll try out those other sites when I come to learn another song.

I'm not terribly good, it took me a year to realise that the plastic on the pick board wasn't a coating but in fact, part of the packaging

I just learn bits of songs at a time and try and put them together later on.

I love Tablature because I can't read music, gave up violin, piano and keyboard because i couldn't read music so now i'm teaching myself to play guitar

Olga is a good bet, but have you tried dogpile.com and searched on Turin Brakes tabs. I usually find a link to most bands tabs from there.

By the way, if anyone knows where I can find the tab for Couldn't Get It Right by either Fun Lovin Criminals or Climax Blues Band I would be most obliged!!

Can I find it, can I 'eck

Cheers

Hey Graham...what do you play? I'm a Strat man myself..although I also love my Charvel.

Used to be semi-pro...until turned out I was better at programming computers. Well...at least on the earning money front.

I havent found a site yet that provides tabs in the same key as the original recording so you can't play along with the CD!....and they're incredibly basic too as though they're written by well-meaning amateurs.

I usually use one of these

www.ultimate-guitar.com
www.guitartabs.cc/home.php

BTW If anyone is interested in any Led Zep tabs, I found this site, which has to be the best on the web.

You are a saint pwig, it's a shame that the lass who tabbed it was tone deaf.

Someone needs to tell her that the chords from Westlife - My Love (don't ask how I know that) don't sound anything like that of the chorus of Painkiller

I'm sure the 2 chords near the start where they alternate between the two are:

A (I think I'm not too good with chord names, get mixed up between E and A)
----X----
----0----
----2---- x5 (including up and down strokes)
----2----
----2----
----0----

and G

----3----
----2----
----0---- x7 (I think) (inc. up and down)
----0----
----3----
----3----
