A three-year Pekinese dog has beaten off thousands of canine competitors to win the top prize at Crufts.

I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't regard anything this small and ugly as a proper dog. (apologies to anyone who may have one) "hehe:

Come to think of it, looking at the expression on the dog's face, where exactly is that man's right hand?

It resmebles one of those bushes you see getting blown about in crap western movies!

It looks like its been washed and then put in the tumble dryer on high.

I suppose the bloke could us it as a duster.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks its an abomination of the dog world then

What on earth was wrong with that beautiful flat coat retriever, now that is what I call a proper dog.

The only thing worth doing with that pekinese is wearing it as one of a pair of novelty slippers

Forget Crufts, get down the video shop and rent 'Best In Show'. That film is all you ever need know about dog shows, and one of the funniest films ever made...

Just think, in some countries, they would eat these dogs

Can't believe you guys actually watched that!!

Switched on TV at girlfriends house and it was on this channel, whilst frantically searching for zapper to change the channels, i noticed that the dogs being tested at this time were "working breed"

These dogs don't even go out if there is a slight dampness to the air let alone do a days work..?

WTF is this mindless crap still competing on TV with all the other mindless crap for?? If you must have a dog tv show at least one man and his dog had some interest, instead over stuffed fat arsed women dragging around over stuffed fat arsed dogs around the ring!!

is too good for these people!

Mind you, some of the owners look like theyve been a bit interbred too!

If I chose to enter my German Shepherd (which I would not because I am not a sad git) he would be dismissed on the grounds of being 'too big'. He is 2 cm taller than the breed rules require plus is a couple of kilos heavier as well. I know which one I would rather have looking after my house

Wondered if this would come up, g/f also described the damn thing as a doormat. Watched the first round on thursday, got bored where was the English Springer, watched the friday prog and couldn't believe the crap being spouted. utter garbage and the once luverly Phillipa Forester sounded ratted. Had to walk away. Turns out, there were 2 classes not even competing cos the Crufts judges took too long to make up their minds, ITS A BIG FIX AS FAR AS I CAN SEE.
that ugly little thing was due to win cos it had been second or something for the last 2 years. What about all that brushing of coats when the judges are doing their business too. Break their limp wrists I say.
OOOOOh glad I got that off my chest...

Me & Mrs Whatever just happened to see the last few minutes of this. At first we couldn't believe this back-combed rat had actually won! There's got to be plenty of people who entered "proper" dogs that are pretty disappointed with that.

The interview with the (co-) owner was a hoot, in a fairly childish way, too.

Its the kind of thing you'd bounce twice before launching it over the garden fence!

These people should have proper dogs like our lab collie cross. She can take a knock from a football on the head (accidental of course whilst kicking about in the gaden) and still come back for more. Mad thing she is, but quite entertaining.
