dont know if this has been mentioned before but this weekend they have put in what appears to be a specs system between fen ditton and the milton A10 junction. can anyone confirm this??
they are on blue lamp post type things but have a yellow camera (token gesture!!) with the 2 infra red lights on each side. the set by fen ditton are quite noticable but the milton ones you wont see till the last min. should we expect a drop in speed limit to follow??

They are SPECS cameras, but I've heard a two reasons why they are there.

1) Is that they are temporary, until the new cycle bridge from Milton is put in, which will be May time, and
2) Is that they are permanent.

Obviously, 2) would be bad, and that begs the other question, will they be set to 40mph (as per the roadworks or will they be set to 70mph the A14 speed limit. The information about them as not been posted on the Cambridge Police website yet which they must do to comply with the "Safety Camera" campaign, so I don't think they are live.

They look like they are a permanent SPECS system what with those semi-ornate supports. However I am not sure if they are live yet. It could be that they will go live when the raodworks are completed.
