Hello PHer's

Just a quick question about finding a suitable tyre.
My 'other' car at the moment has some very nice 13" wheels with 8" (Front) and 10" (Rear) wide slicks fitted. I wish to keep these wheels, but change over to road legal tyres. Can anybody find me any suitable 10" wide 13" tyres ?

Thanx in advance. Regards John S

Any thoughts ? Would a 9" tyre fitt on a 10" rim ? They seem to do that kind of thing with wheels/tyres, in Europe, I've noticed, where as Americans are going for the biggest diameter wheels they can. So would that be a 'Euro' look vs a 'SoCal' look ? Anyhows, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanx John S

The widest 13" road tyre I'm aware of is 225/60 x 13 which you used to be able to get about 20 years ago but were rare even then. And even if you could still get them I think they'd be too narrow for a 10" rim, being more suited to an 8".

Best to have a word with a company that's used to dealing in both road and track tyres as they might know of something suitable. Try Sliverline Wheels & Tyres in Warwick on 01926 490002.

Thanks Graham for the reply. You did give me a pointer in the right direction. I have now done a bit of investigating and come up with the following :-

Kumho Ecsta V700 235/45R13
Yokohama A032R 215/50R13
Dunlop SP Sport 9000 MFS 205/50R13
Dunlop SP Sport 9000 MFS 225/45R13

So top result I really didn't think I would find a legal tyre for that width. The Dunlop is a 'special order' by the looks of things. Perhaps I could fit the Yokohama's on the Front and the Dunlops/Kumho's on the back ?
