We are looking at driving over to Italy this year for our holiday, can anyone recommend a good place to look at for holiday rentals in the Tuscany area?

yes - try www.tuscanynow.com
very good outfit with a very nice glossy catalogue which they will post to you. they personally inspect all the properties. feel free to mail me offline if you want to book with them as I did in the past and would highly recommend them...

a bit expensive i think but certainly very good quality... we booked through them after finishing Uni (4 years ago)..there were ten of us in a fab villa (villa valentini if you get the catalogue) with tennis court, pool and 5 bedrooms and perched on top of a hill with commanding views... i think it was around £500 each, inc Monarch Air flight to Pisa, 2 x Golf rentals at Hertz and the villa for the week. they are v good for villas if you have 6 people and above...they offered quite a personal service so if you need something special, I would tell them to see if they can recommend anything suitable...!
