Sorry to inflict this on you but I need an anonymous outlet. Thirty something, happily married, TVR owning bloke. Decided to wait a little before having kids. Always joked that fertility seemed to be inversely proportional to intelligence.
Just found out that fathering kids is a non starter.
By my own token I must be a fcuk*^g genius. Wife is devastated, I am incredibly angry for some reason. Hope the marriage is not going to suffer, but I know my wife would die to have her own kids. Phew, I needed that

Shit. Gutted for the pair of you. No chance? Don't want you to go into details, but there is a surprising amount that can be done to help so 2nd opinions might be worth getting.. Good luck..

Sorry to hear that anony.
So do you really want kids now? Or is it just the fact that you've found out you can't that makes it attractive?

Cos if you do want kids, there's still adoption, fostering & sperm donation to consider.

As apache says though, get drunk & then take your time thinking things through - your decision will have effects that last a lifetime...

I know some other folk that found out the same thing & just decided to play the hand they were given & just live life to the full (also TVR owners, as it happens)

No, never been like that. Decided to wait as both of us had careers to get on track, and babies would have made it difficult.
Just made a huge life decision as to where I am going career wise, with the main reason being so I can spend more time at home.
Perfect time to start a family!! Arse and double arse, no booze in the house either, tripple arse.

If you can afford a TVR chances are you an afford top private treatment in America.

Get your GP/specialist to do a write up of your condition, then get on the net and find who's who in the states. Send your details to them and ask for a quote. It's a lot of money, effort and time, but it is amazing wht they can do these days.

I don't want to offer false hopes, but try it. You never know whats out there.

By way of example; cloning. Production of a human being without any sperm involved. If it works there...

All the best anony, I really feel for you. Good luck!
