Missed you mate. I live on Hayling but was going off about 1130.
Next time, give me a bit more notice and perhaps we can arrange something?

I've got Monday off - planning a quick trip down the coast to take my wife out for lunch. Thought about Chichester. Anyone got a suggestion for a nice pub with view around Chichester or the surrounding area?

Thanks, Hutch

Well you have the Out and Out at Bosham, well main A259 near Bosham actually.
Or the Anchor Bleu at Bosham harbour itself, never eaten there but there is an excellent view across the harbour.

P.S. Careful where you park, as inside the pub are plenty of pictures of stranded cars after the tide comes in

Thanks Mark - I suppose rising damp is the last thing a Chimaera owner needs!

Fox and Hounds at Funtigton ... out on the original Havant to Chichester road (before they built the original by pass than was recently by passed again). Great food, good beer.

Glorious drive down to Bosham as suggested by Mark and we arrived just in time to drive along the front as the tide was going out - see evidence below. We walked around Bosham and stumbled on Peter Snow (he of the Swinometer fame) doing a piece to camera about Harold and the sick King. Maybe if you watch whatever series he was filming for you'll hear a nice v8 burble in the background (we certainly got the sound man waving, though not in glee at the site of a TVR I suggest).

After that we drove to the Wiz's suggestion for lunch but alas the Fox and Hounds was unable to serve lunches "because of some unforeseen circumstances....". So we drove up the B2146 through Compton and The Hartings toward Petersfield. This road is a beautiful drive, great surface and long sweeping bends through stunning countryside. Highly recommended.

Anyway thanks for the recommendations, guys - much appreciated.

Hutch
