Ferrari F40 Crash on A31 Farnham Bypass
Discussion
Around midday was trying to drive up the A31 from Farnham eastbound towards Shepherd & Flock roundabout and the traffic was solid, soon spotted the cause.... red F40 with all its front body work smashed being removed on a truck, that was on the West bound carriageway, east bound there was a three cars pile up in the opposite direction a few yards away, so can only conclude the sight of crashing F40 must have caused them to pile into each other. No idea of the condition of the driver, hope he is ok?

Dam! I lived in Farnham for two years, went to Art college there. There are some good driving roads around that area. Shame about the F40
The "Hogg's Back" A31 is a terrible road, with a crappy surface and bad cambers. My 300zx hates it and gets bounced all over the shop, even when with the speed limit.
Add wind and rain and it's an accident waiting to happen.
Finger's crossed the F40 can be repaired and all involved are OK.

Nah, lovely road. Ah the days long gone of redlining the Yamaha RD 350,Yamaha XS850, and suzuki RE5.
When men were men. And if they came off didn't immediately speeddial the solicitor because of it being the roads fault.
We were butch in those day's

Now, if you're talking about the A331 off the A31 up to the M3, I'd agree. I'm amazed there are still no speed cameras on that road!
Edited to say, don't forget the great Mike Hawthorn died on the A31!!

Know it well, he and my dad used to go flying together. I remember a story my father used to tell about going in a group of four to ireland on a shooting holiday. Seems almost everything that didn't run away was fair game with a shotgun. Over a very long inebriated weekend it seems they managed to accidently kill a cow and accidently let off a shotgun in a hire car thereby giving it a new sunroof it didn't have before.

Redlining an RE5!!! The biggest mistake that Suzuki ever made.
I would have thought that redlining one of those would blow it to bits.
Personally, I liked the GT750 better. I had about 5 in all.
A mate of mine bought one of the first RE5s with the stupid flip up console. He was most annoyed that mere mortals with RD350s were making him look stupid.

The only redeeming feature of our (sorry, my wife's) Zafira is the "Hawthan's" branded number plate. Although why a TVR dealer was flogging a Zafira is anyone's guess!!

Well no, perhaps not redlinig the RE5. That particular bike killed a lot of people from its handling. HUUUUGGGEEEE speed wobbles, usually on motorways and after going over the smallest of white lines. Broke both my steering locks on one such journey, after which I sold the bike
My RD350 suffered terminal engine meltdown at about 10,000 miles
. Not sure the RD350 could make the RE5 look stupid though. The RE5 seemed to keep pace with my mates GSX1300. Nothing beat the RD350 along the twisties though
