I caught an advert on TV last night that seeme to be saying that they had 50% off Satnav units (offer ending today - Sunday 10th December)

I can't see this on the website, but I'm going to head off and have a look see anyway.

Just a heads up in case anyone else is looking to get one

Cheers

It's 'up to 50% off' which means 'we've got a shed load of old Navman units with 5 digit postcode search at half the price they originally retailed at which no búgger wants to buy so they're 50% off, the rest are 5% off!'

He's right, it is 'upto 50% off' and the one they have 50% off has sold out all round the country anyway.

I also misinterpreted it as all at 50%, I thought that's too good to be true but when my girlf asked if I saw the halfords ad for 50% off all sat navs I had to go and have a look. Their website was overloaded last night too so it can't have just been me who didn't see the 'upto'.

Is the NavMan no good for £99.99 then? I was thinking of getting one as I thought it good value at that price?

Wait until Amazon have another offer on the Garmin i3- they lowered the price yest to 89.99 and within a few hours were sold out - most going to the people on the Moneysavingexpert forum I would think.

To be honest I was tempted, but I can find my way easily enough to an 'area', and dont need directions to the M25 or what junction to take, so I just have a collection of cheap A-z's in the boot of the home counties where I do most of my driving for work.

Won't be long till the budget sat navs are £50 sheets or so though I should think....

Went and had a look anyway as was shopping - nothing worth looking at in terms of bargains so left them alone - maybe in the sales or next year?

Might not be too late to add it as a PS to your letter to Santa?

Would love to but my folks are still suffering from "postpayingforSister'swedding syndrome"!

The thing is I don't really need one - I just want one!
