A23 Unmarked bib car

It's good news, sounds like they're taking road policing seriously rather than relying on cameras. Sussex BIB have actually been quite good in that respect.
Agreed. From my experience - if you are driving fast but sensibly (lane discipline, indicators, not tailgating etc) they will pull alongside and wag the finger. Obviously they can do the PNC checks while in motion and there is no real need to put themselves and you in danger withan unecessary stop on the hard shoulder.
I`ve seen them pull over three cars recently :-
First was tailgating in heavy traffic at 50mph
Second was a MLM
Third was an old metro doing warp factor.
As towie (
nice to haveyou back mate) says, it's been about for a while. I've also seen them in local towns (one time they were pulling over a chavved-up Nova in Haywards Heath which had been continuously driving down the high street at warp factor 11
). I really hope they remain sensible with their traffic policing policies. We're largely camera-free out here and long may it remain
Agreed - Sussex Trafpol are very good IMHO
The Evo has been knocking about for a while now - along with a Burgundy C-Class estate, and possibly a Blue one too. I think there's also the odd unmarked Omega flying around. They've also put signs up on the A23 at Handcross stating 'unmarked police cars operating' - which is unusual.
It's also worth mentioning that I was coming home from work in Portslade one lunchtime when I spied an unusual fully marked car coming the other way - initially I thought it was an enthusiasts restoration job...
But no, it was manned by two coppers
It was none other than an SD1!!!!
