On News 24 this morning - the presenters were trying to link the two previous explosions with
a motorist angry at speeding or speed cameras... I couldn't quite work out the link between congestion charging, and a solictors... and a motorist angry about speeding or speed cameras....
Obviously now that the DVLA has been attacked, it's bound to be a car enthusiast angry at the price increases to the road fund tax..

I have no idea... the self righteous male presenter on BBC 24 was speaking to a 'security expert' at 6:45ish, and said, so the attacks could well come from someone upset/annoyed at speeding or speed cameras... I couldn't quite belive what I was hearing... Now of course, they have all the ammo they need, to pin it on one of the sports car owners who filmed themselves (allegedly) belting through the dartford tunnel; and who now wants some revenge...
You could almost say this sort of thing was inevitable. If your someone who drives 40,000 miles a year for instance it's going to be very hard not to pick up the odd speeding fine etc over time. Then when they get 12 points loose their licence, job & potentially family as well then what have they left to loose? Revenge for some is the only way to retaliate, although bombing the staff of these agencies isn't the most intelligent approach IMO.

Nah, I reckon all 3 were supposed to go off on Monday... but you know the post office

Probably some perverted greenie trying to put blame on the motorist......
or dare I say it a "national road safety group"?????
Watch it!!! the witch might be riding her broomstick somewhere near you......
Whatever I don't condone this type of action at all,
direct action against scameras, now that is something that one might approve of, especially as they're sooooo accurate and save sooo many lives.....and don't help quasi-government departments employ useless wasters either....[tongue in cheek smiley]

Or one of the many motorists who have been caught out by safety camera's whilst slightly exceeding the speed limits on an empty yet dangerous straight on a dual carriageway. Kentish said:
Well, the way I see it is that people know what type of company they are working for and this kind of risk is highly likely at some point. If employees are worried they should perhaps seek careers opportunities elsewhere.
Should bus drivers also expect to be stabbed for the cash in their boxes too? I'll hazard a guess that a lot of those same bus drivers aren't doing the job out of a lifelong ambition to drive a bus, and it happens to be a convenient way of avoiding collecting dole?
its unfair to bomb secretarys/administrators/receptionist to make up for the mistakes of their management, councils and government.
regardless of the culprit(s) motive, mail bombs aren't exactly a way to solve problems.
no disrespect to any lurking bus drivers!

Did anyone watch the BBC drama late last year set in the US and focusing on the Brit embassy and a death-row chap..."State of ____" or something.
It rather implied that elements of the US 'security services' would engage in 'wet work' on their own soil to create the right political climate to push through 'desirable' policies. A similar scenario was the subject of a 'Spooks' double-episode, this one WAS in the UK (although the aim was a rather grander suspension of democracy).
Bring that back into the real world, and the 'war against the motorist'...could someone allied to government possibly have thought the same thoughts...?!?

I think you have misread what I said. There is probably no reason for anyone or group to vent any kind of anger at a bus driver, not enough to make him/her a target of violence. The reasoning you give is for robbery and no that isn't acceptable at all but for example, if you work for the CSA you must know that you are not going to be everyones friend, if you work in a pharmaceutical company laboratory you aren't going to be popular with everyone, police force, traffic warden, dole office front desk etc etc. If people don't want to expose themselves to any risks then perhaps working for a controversial company was not a good idea. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with anyone taking this kind of action but nor am I surprised.
There is no difference at all between all the terrorists exploding bombs, and these people targetting speed camera/cc orientated offices. Both groups believe their cause it just.
However, the one positive is that (so far) no one has been injured - it seems the bombs have just been a threat. If they wanted to do some harm, they could have easily have done so.
I'm not surprised it's happened. Sensible/peaceful protest after sensible/peaceful protest have gone completely ignored and so it's a shame but in all organisations you will have extremists.
Of course, the last thing that is going to happen is that these things are going to stop (cc/specs etc). If that happened, it would show that terrorism wins.
