While getting some work done on my Tuscan, the garage found that the stereo has been "butchered" into the dash. Its not wired up correctly (power coming straight from the battery, not an ignition lead) and I'm not sure I fully understood but some wires are damaged so he's having difficulty repairing it. One of the options they suggested was simply to get a brand new one.

So, over to you. I have a pioneer 6 CD changer in the boot which I need to get connected, and I'd prefer something "a bit flashy" but don't want to spend the earth. Anything with a funky sat-nav or fold out screen gets a big thumbs up, assuming of course the fold out bit will happily clear the surrounding dash trim cleanly. It must of course be able to connect to the pioneer CD changer (model PDX670, I think).

Any suggestions of products?

Any good websites?

Any Tuscan owners have recommendations?

I need it to be delivered to the garage by friday morning at the latest!!!

Thanks,
Mark

I can't see how a new one would help. It'll still plug into the same connector so they'll still have to fix the problems.

I've always preferred to wire directly to the battery anyway. It does need to be fused though.

Some units require a direct battery feed - e.g. the 60W Alpine (V-Power is it?)

No I'm not quite sure I understand either. I'll call them tomorrow and ask.

I was thinking along the lines of a Pioneer DEH P75BT. Top of the price range I'm willing to go to.

Any thoughts on it?

I have a Sony Ericsson W850i phone, will it be compatible with the music streaming? The pioneer website doesn't list that phone, but a bunch of other sony ericssons are listed and maybe their list just isn't up to date.
