I'd love to have a mint SD1 Vitesse for an everyday hack

Both my dad and I are building just such cars. His started life as a 2l (still only has 34k on the clock), mine started out as a 2.6 then when the cam sized the previous owner put a V8 in and then laid it up for 10years shortly afterwards. I would love a Bastos replica to hoon on trackdays.
Good examples are a daily pleasure, poor examples are horrendous things.

to you, your father, and anyone else involved in such sterling efforts! There's something about the SD1 isn't there - I've always had aa hankering for a Tony Pond replica in the full Computervision livery - really stirs the soul.
I'm rebuilding my Dad's Twin Plenum Vitesse - he's had it from new and it's in a sorry state.
We both loved the Bastos cars in the day and I thought it'd be a fitting tribute.
It's got a monster engine, 4.5, forged pistons and rods, tuscan race heads, ported inlet manifold, 45mm trumpets etc.
I've managed to get hold of a set of Revolution FX rims that'll I'll get done in Orange. Not a perfect match for the original cars but a lot cheaper than the centre locks!
So, if anyone has a cage for an SD1 knocking about, let me know.

Especially when it's chasing your Impreza along a twist Welsh hillside
I'm sure I heard of an SD1 cage knocking about a while ago, I'll go into a deep trance and try to remember where it was, however I fear the minds eye may be clouded by alcohol consumption since then...

Fantastic, thanks. If you need any Vitesse interior parts let me know, I'd love for them to go to a good home.
I spent a long time umming and ahhhing about having it as a mint road car or a balls out track weapon. Dad would have wanted the latter methinks.
